Mahusay na katapatan

Pumunta ng Dubai ang boss ko for a meeting with one of our partners. Naiwan ako sa office kasi me mga meetings naman na nakaschedule sa ilang key customers namin that I have to attend, idagdag pa ang mga researches and prospecting works. Besides pag ganitong Ramadan, kakatamad bumiyahe biyahe sa GCC. Gutom at uhaw abutin mo. Fasting at daytime e.

He came back the following day, and told me that he had a “horrible 9 – 10AM” nang sinundang araw. Sabi niya, naiwan niya ang kanyang iPhone at wallet sa taxi na sinakyan niya from the hotel sa meeting venue. His wallet contained his money and all his personal documents – Iqama, Passport, money, credit card, ATM card, medical insurance card, driver’s license. Kinuha raw niya kasi sa pocket niya ang wallet at dumukot siya ng pambayad sa taxi. He was holding his iPhone and wallet at di niya namalayan na naibaba raw niya.

He immediately asked the assistance of the venue, a 3-star hotel to contact the police to report his missing phone and wallet. The personnel in the hotel called first the hotel security and the hotel where my boss was billeted. Then they scanned on the video of the hotel entrance and took the name, plate number and other description of the taxi which brought my boss to their hotel. Then they contacted the taxi company, and was informed that, yes, the wallet and phone were deposited in their customer service department safety box and to be delivered by their customer service manager to their hotel in 30 minutes. All this being done without the help of the police yet.

While that is being done, ang boss ko naman ay tuloy sa meeting niya, pero hindi siya mapalagay at wala sa loob sa discussions sa meeting. This explained why at that time, 3times siyang tumawag sa akin through our partners mobile phone, asking for my advise. Di siya makapagconcentrate dahil nga sa nangyari. Kaya nga siguro “horrible 9 – 10AM”, aba e trapped siya sa Dubai, wala lahat personal documents niya pati pera at ATM niya.

At 10AM, after the meeting, he went to the customer service table and was told his iPhone and wallet were already there. Ibinigay sa kanya. He checked. Walang nawala kahit isa. He was so thankful.

Naisip ko na kung sa pinas nangyari iyon,

a. Mabalik kaya wallet at phone niya
b. Kung mabalik man, di kaya mabawasan ang pera
c. Iyong hotel kaya ay ganun kasigasig na marecover wallet at phone niya
d. Wala kayang kakutsabang pulis
e. None of the above

Palagay ko 50% na letter e ang sagot.

Napakaganda ng sistema sa security at high tech equipment ng bansang ito. Napakagaling at napaka-honest ng mga customer service personnel ng both hotels at ng taxi company.

Sana ganito sa Pilipinas. Such a display of  honesty, professionalism and service efficiency.

By the way, sabi ng boss ko, iyong mga customer service personnel ng dalawang hotels at ng taxi company na nag-asikaso sa kanya ay PURO PILIPINO, isa lang ang Indian.
