Dinala niya sa repair shop and he described what was the problem with the refrigerator. The shop is managed by a Pakistan and assisted by technicians from his own country. In this place, there seems to be stereo-typing when it comes to some jobs.

Then he instructed to call him after two days and the refrigerator will be ready for pick up.

Dahil busy at gabi na kung umuwi from work, hindi natawagan at nabalikan na ay after a week. Pagdating sa shop, my colleague was told it was still not repaired at maraming dahilan kung bakit.

It went on and on for 4 weeks until my colleague decided to get his refrigerator and his money back. He even planned in selling it to Haraj, tindahan ng mga second hand equpment and anything, at ibenta kahit na 100 riyals lang.

When he told the Pakistani repair man he wants his ref and his money back, he was asked to come back the following day dahil wala raw cash.

The following day, he went back to the shop and his deposit of 100 Riyals was given back.  When he checked his refrigerator, the expansion valve is not the original one, it was replaced with an old one. When he brought it to the notice of the repair man, he was told nothing was done on his refrigerator, it was not touched.

My poor colleague just brought his appliance back home and vowed not to have anything repaired in that shop.
