APPS ang tawag sa computer program designed to run on smartphones, tablet computers and other mobile devices. 2008 ng lumabas ang tinatawag na application distribution platforms tulad ng App Store, Google Play, Windows Phone Store, and BlackBerry App World. Me mga APPS na libre meron namang may bayad at nailoload ito sa mga devices uch as an iPhone, BlackBerry, Android phone or Windows Phone, but sometimes they can be downloaded to laptops or desktop computers.
Noong una napansin ko na ang mga APPS ay nakafocus sa email, calendar, data banking, contacts, weather, stocks, news, then it evolved into games, GPS, tapos banking, ticketing, order tracking, me online shopping na, at sari-saring APPS sa anumang pangangailangan at higit sa lahat ay ang social media.
Lahat halos tayo ay nahuhumaling sa Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YM, Skype, Foursquare, WhatsApp, Viber, Tango, at iba pa.
Naaddict tayo sa Farmville, Cityville, Angry Birds, Candy Crush, Farm Pet Saga, Farm Heroes, at iba pa..
Natulungan tayo ng mga APPS for healthy living like Charity Miles, Sleep Cycle, Vision Test, iHeart Rate at marami pa.
Na enlighten tayo sa Ang Bibliya, namotivate tayo sa AppAdvise, Lift, Habit List, Carrot, at mga business APPS tulad ng Evernote, Bump, Tripit, Local Vox, at napakarami pa.
Living in this APPS world however has its setback particularly sa ating paguugali at sa ating relationship sa ating community. While it is true that these APPS connect us to the world, keep us informed of the whereabouts of our friends, love, etc and guided us in our business, lives and somehow to a point that it has controlled our perception of life (example: APPS called Taking Control of Your Life), it has practically alienated us to the real meaning of life. Naging virtual ang ating relationship.. from MWAH MWAH, ILY, IMU to LOL, ROFL, BRB, GTG.
We abbreviate life. We rush on anything. We try to grab everything. We rely on APPS. We have become virtual people in this world.
We try to simplify life by relying on APPS. However, we turn this life’s status to “It’s complicated”.
We digress enjoyment of “real feel” life with God as our guide to “simulated life” with APPS as our director.
I remember when I was invited to a birthday celebration of a friend here in Al Khobar and I joined some kids who were fiddling on their tablets. They were so busy playing games and I asked them:
“Have you tried Hiking, Camping or Mountain Trekking? It’s real fun!” I told them.
They answered me in unison “What is the name of the APPS?”
God bless us! (Real God. Not APPS)
